SUBSTACK, MEET YENTA
Hi, Substack.
It’s time we introduce ourselves.
When you hear yenta, think someone who loves to talk. Yenta is a Yiddish (German dialect integrating many languages such as German, Hebrew etc.) word. Many definitions include words like meddlers, busy-bodies, gossipers, blabbermouths. Not only do the majority of definitions have negative connotations, but they often describe a yenta being a woman. We’re here to put a positive spin on the word yenta through information, discussion and collective learning.
We love..
All things fungi. Plant-powered skincare, haircare and makeup. Travel. Music, old and new. Food. Excitement over the “little” things. Exploration and discovery. Caring for the planet. Learning about the who, what, where and when. Feeling beautiful. Trying new restaurants. Gadgets. Sources of comfort. Lists. Fashion. Asking questions. Recommending something to someone who loves it too.
Moral of the story? Yenta’s here to provide information and talk about anything and everything! Expect condensed straight-forward content and a lot of hyperlinks.
Let the games begin!
